Quartersawn Wood

It says my guitar is made out of Quartersawn Wood. What does that mean?

Answer:
It's important that your guitar IS made of Quartersawn wood.
It is important that the wood in your guitar has perpendicular grain patterns. This helps prevent warping and also provides the best vibration patterns acoustically.

Quartersawing the log does this in a fairly economical way.

First the log is cut into quarters, then cut into boards radially.
Two boards cut next to each other are called "Bookmatched".
